Shirlyn Ross

Choir Director

Shirlyn has been our church Choir Director most of her life. Many things come and go in the church but he gift of music is a constant in the church’s life. She grew up with church music and has kept at ever since. She plays the organ and piano as if directing the choir was not enough.

When she is not directing the church choir she is an elementary school principle. You know with a background like that, the choir does not get out of line.

Charlie Lloyd

Worship Arts Director

Charlie began his musical career at age six when he received a drum set for Christmas and from then on music has been an important part of Charlie’s life. In fifth grade he started playing trombone in his elementary school. He soon branched out and began playing other instruments and by the time he was in college, at ETBU, he was playing trombone, trumpet, saxophone, baritone, French Horne, percussion, piano, and guitar, in varies school ensembles. In High School he formed his first Christian Rock Band, Embassary, and has played in several different Christian bands since then. In the summer of 2010 Charlie auditioned for American Idol but never made it before the judges.

Charlie is amazing when he leads us in music as he draws us in with his soulful bluesy voice and strong guitar playing. He can communicate with music what words cannot about the love and grace of God, for when you loose yourself in his music, you find yourself in the embrace of God.
