Heights Presbyterian Church is glad to have you visit our website. We are a multi-generational congregation through which individuals and families of all sizes and shapes are being transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ. We have built an identity that includes the follwing characteristics.
Members and visitors come from a wide range of denominational backgrounds, as well as from no church background at all.
Heights is good at helping people who once were in a congregation, but who then dropped out, return to church and get re-involved.
Heights' members have been willing to try new things as we figure out what works and doesn't work in the new millennium.
Everyone is welcome - we all co-exist and thrive at Heights. Our Heights congregation is friendly and caring.
Membership is not required to participate in ministries and programs. We invite people to come try us out before making up their minds and to get involved as part of that process.
The ministry of Jesus Christ isn't just the work of the pastors and staff. It is largely the work of the lay persons. Heights has a history of being a church in which the pastors and staff work to empower and equip the congregation for active participation and personal ministry. For us, the Christian faith is not just a set of beliefs, but also a set of practices based upon what we believe about Jesus Christ.
